T-Rex

We are OPEN, but the trails are muddy today and due to the recent floods in Bastrop County, the dinosaur trails are temporarily inaccessible to wheel chairs, strollers, and wagons.  Good walking shoes and care is required on the trails until they can be repaired.

The Dinosaur Park features a unique outdoor museum setting.  While most museums have dinosaur skeletons, our realistic life-size dinosaur replicas show skin and color variations to give a better understanding as to how they looked when alive.  These statues range in size from the 2-foot long Compsognathus to the 85-foot long Brachiosaurus.

As you walk through a tree-lined nature trail the dinosaurs sit back from the trail,  situated among plants, trees and rocks,  making it easy to imagine real dinosaurs in a natural environment.

The Dinosaur Park is an educational and fun place, where everyone can learn about the majestic animals that ruled our earth for over 150 million years.

Other activities include a fossil-dig, playground, picnic area, and a wonderful Dinosaur Store stocked with a variety of gifts sure to please any dinosaur fan!
